Description
I got to watch my friend fly his Aplomado Falcon. He would put her on a fence post, and then call her, and off she went, expecting a tasty morsel in return. As soon as he let her go, she flew back to the fence post; knowing exactly what she was supposed to do.
Aplomado falcons are small, fast falcons, currently endangered in the US since their numbers plummeted due to DDT.
