Description
The sunflowers in this field are a bit past their prime, but they are still beautiful. There is something about aging... we don't like it in our modern society, but there is great beauty to be found if we look a little differently. There is also something magical about a sea of them, stretching out into the distance!
From Wikipedia: "Helianthus annuus, the common sunflower, is a large annual forb of the genus Helianthus grown as a crop for its edible oil and edible fruits. This sunflower species is also used as wild bird food, as livestock forage, in some industrial applications, and as an ornamental in domestic gardens."
Photo taken in Colorado near Denver, on August 30, 2017

Looks like a warm Summer day in the Sunflower patch. Love the feeling of sense of character in the foreground sunflower and the wispy clouds.
