Description
A tender moment between mom and baby fox. This vixen was such an amazing mom to her five babies. She was always running off to go hunting and bringing home prey that she caught for them, or she was nursing them. Occasionally she tried to take a little time for herself, but inevitably at least one fox kit would run up to be with her, and try to play with her or, as in this case, give her a kiss. There's something special about that vixen... she seems vulnerable yet fierce, tender yet tough... and so beautiful...!
Red foxes are the largest species of true foxes in the world. They belong to the order Carnivora and family Canidae. This means that red foxes are related to wolves and domestic dogs. Red foxes have a wide distribution – with populations extending the entire length of Northern Hemisphere – from North America and Europe to Asia.The red fox is an opportunistic predator and generally thrives near human settlements.
